Biografia
Thomas John Mitchell (11 de julho de 1892 - 17 de dezembro de 1962) foi um ator e escritor norte-americano. Entre seus papéis mais famosos em uma longa carreira estão os de Gerald O'Hara em E o Vento Levou, Doc Boone em Stagecoach, Tio Billy em It's a Wonderful Life, Pat Garrett em The Outlaw e o prefeito Jonas Henderson em High Noon. Mitchell foi o primeiro ator masculino a ganhar a Tríplice Coroa de Atuação ao ganhar um Oscar, um Emmy e um Tony Award. Mitchell foi indicado a dois Oscars, de Melhor Ator Coadjuvante por seu trabalho nos filmes O Furacão (1937) e Stagecoach (1939), vencendo pelo último.
