Biografia
James Byron Dean (Marion, 8 de fevereiro de 1931 — Cholame, 30 de setembro de 1955) foi um ator estadunidense. Considerado um ícone cultural da moda, desilusão adolescente, do distanciamento social, conforme expresso no título de seu filme mais célebre, Rebel Without a Cause (1955), no qual estrelou como o adolescente problemático Jim Stark. Os outros dois papéis que definiram o seu estrelato foram o solitário Cal Trask, em East of Eden (1955), e o ranzinza Jett Rink, em Giant (1956). Depois de sua morte em um acidente de carro, Dean se tornou o primeiro ator a receber uma indicação póstuma ao Oscar de Melhor Ator.
