Justin Drew Bieber nasceu em 1º de março de 1994 no St. Joseph's Hospital em London, Ontário, Canadá e foi criado em Stratford, Ontário. Ele é filho de Pattie Mallette e Jeremy Bieber . Ele é descendente de franco-canadenses, irlandeses, alemães, ingleses e escoceses. Ele tem três meio-irmãos mais novos por meio de seu pai. Ao crescer, ele mostrou um grande interesse pela música e aprendeu sozinho a tocar vários instrumentos, incluindo violão, bateria, piano e trompete. Sua mãe começou a postar vídeos dele se apresentando musicalmente no YouTube. Os vídeos logo conquistaram fãs e chamaram a atenção do agente de talentos Scooter Braun . Braun foi capaz de garantir uma audição improvisada com Usher, que ficou impressionado e ajudou Bieber a assinar um contrato com uma gravadora.
