Alanis Nadine Morissette é uma musicista, cantora, compositora e atriz canadense-americana. Conhecida por sua voz emotiva de mezzo-soprano, Morissette começou sua carreira no Canadá no início dos anos 1990 com dois álbuns dance-pop de sucesso moderado. Posteriormente, como parte de um contrato de gravação, ela se mudou para Holmby Hills, Los Angeles. Em 1995, ela lançou Jagged Little Pill, um álbum mais voltado para o rock que vendeu mais de 33 milhões de cópias globalmente e é seu trabalho mais aclamado pela crítica até hoje.
