Dwight David Eisenhower (pronuncia-se [ˈaɪzənhaʊər]) (14 de outubro de 1890 - 28 de março de 1969), apelidado de "Ike", foi o 34º presidente dos Estados Unidos, durante dois mandatos de 20 de janeiro de 1953 a 20 de janeiro de 1961. Durante a Segunda Guerra Mundial, ele foi General do Exército e Comandante-em-Chefe das Forças Aliadas na Europa. Ele foi membro do Partido Republicano. Foi Chefe do Estado-Maior das Forças Armadas dos Estados Unidos de 1945 a 1948 e Comandante Supremo das Forças Aliadas na Europa de 2 de abril de 1951 a 30 de maio de 1952. Como Presidente dos Estados Unidos, supervisionou o cessar-fogo na Coreia, lançou a corrida espacial, desenvolveu a rede de rodovias interestaduais e fez do desenvolvimento de armas nucleares uma de suas prioridades no contexto da Guerra Fria com a URSS.
