Catherine Elise "Cate" Blanchett (Melbourne, 14 de maio de 1969) é uma atriz e diretora de teatro australiana. Ela ganhou vários prêmios de atuação, principalmente dois SAGs, dois Golden Globe Awards, dois BAFTAs e dois Oscars, bem como a Copa Volpi no 64º Festival Internacional de Cinema de Veneza. Blanchett recebeu sete indicações ao Oscar entre 1998 e 2015. Blanchett chamou a atenção internacional por seu papel como Elizabeth I da Inglaterra no filme de 1998 Elizabeth, dirigido por Shekhar Kapur, papel que repetiu em Elizabeth: A Era de Ouro (2007).
