Biografia
Lev Davidovich Bronstein (conhecido como Leon Trotsky) foi um revolucionário e teórico marxista russo-ucraniano. Figura central da Revolução Russa de 1917 ao lado de Lenin, ele fundou e comandou o Exército Vermelho. Após a morte de Lenin, Trotsky foi o principal rival de Stalin, defendendo a Revolução Permanente (a expansão internacional do socialismo). Expulso da URSS em 1929 e perseguido, ele acabou sendo assassinado no México em 1940 a mando de Stalin. Ideologicamente marxista, os escritos e pensamentos de Trotsky inspiraram uma importante escola de ideologia conhecida como trotskismo.
